#TransformationTuesday: When your esthetician removes all your blackheads... and, your skin is clean, clear, and growing. 💃🏾 Just a short, five years ago I was STRUGGLING with acne. I was self-conscious of my acne-filled skin and my pimples, blemishes, and black scars. I was terrible with makeup and didn’t know I needed foundation to help with my oily forehead. There are pictures somewhere (hopefully deleted) of full eye makeup and a glistening forehead with pimples. I remember someone gifting me with Proactive one year for Christmas because my acne was so stubborn. I remember dating someone who was bothered by acne. Some folks said I would grow out of it... well, it took more than another year of life. It took time, effort, consultations, tons of products, and MONEY. I had to learn my skin type and how it changes each season. Then when I moved to Virginia I had to learn my skin again. And, then after the accident I had to learn my skin again!! 🤦🏾‍♀️ My skin transformation has been a JOURNEY!!! I didn’t get here overnight and am a few nights away of leaving makeup on of my pimples and blemishes returning. 😬 My message to you is DON’T DESPISE YOUR JOURNEY!! Don’t compare your journey - you don’t know all the time and investment behind the scenes someone has put in. When you see another sisterfriend succeeding on her journey, CHEER HER ON - even if it is a goal of yours!! Yet, also learn her story, and let it be #inspiration to YOU. Kill the green monster (envy) - it’s a waste of time and energy. There’s room for all of us to be who God called us to be!! #LifewithChelsi #SkinCare #Transformation

When your busted lip is almost completely healed and the scar is becoming less visible, you capture a photo to CELEBRATE the progress. 💋 What area(s) of your life have you made progress in? Celebrate YOUR progress! I know, you are not where you want to be and that is okay. My lip is still healing and I am unable to get it threaded. 😬 💋 But, it continues to heal and become less noticeable. It has taken creams, scar gels, massages, facials, and much more to get this far. Happy, Happy May! It’s a new month. It’s a new season. It’s a new beginning to fulfill purpose. 👸🏾 For me, May is super special - it is my mid-year reminder to reflect, regroup, evaluate, and be better. Oh, and be ready to celebrate another year of life on the 22nd (even though I find ways to celebrate the entire month). 👸🏾 In January God gave me two words for the year: BUILD and OBEY. It has become abundantly clear I am building for Him and with Him. Therefore, I must obey Him to walk in my purpose. Honestly, it has been tough at times to take baby steps forward and not know all that I am building for or what I am building. Yet, I have LEARNED I can trust Him and obey, or doubt Him and be miserable. 👸🏾 MESSAGE: Sometimes we are bringing our ‘seat’ to a new table and other times we may be ‘building’ the table around our seat. Take a moment to hear God and know where you’re taking your ‘seat.’ Be vigilant in your obedience — it better than selfish sacrifice. #LifewithChelsi #LifeLessons #BirthdayMonth
